R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Karla Alvarado is graduating as the valedictorian of
the Class of 2013 at Trimble Technical High School; and
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
highest academic standards; to attain this coveted distinction, Ms.
Alvarado demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide range of
subjects, and the rewards of the countless hours she has devoted to
her studies are myriad; and
WHEREAS, In addition to her achievements in the classroom,
Ms. Alvarado has participated in her school's National Honor
Society, Health Occupation Students of America, and the Spanish
Club; she also volunteered within the Fort Worth Public Library
System; Ms. Alvarado enjoys running, singing, playing the flute,
and collecting one dollar coins; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Antonio and Maria
Elena Alvarado, Ms. Alvarado has earned the respect and admiration
of her teachers and classmates at Trimble Tech, and her exceptional
scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment to excellence have
opened the way to limitless opportunities for this remarkable young
Texan; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Karla Alvarado on being named
valedictorian of the Trimble Technical High School Class of 2013
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she
begins the next exciting chapter in her life; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Alvarado as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
