H.R. No. 2990
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The House of Representatives of the State of Texas
is pleased to recognize the Eastern Hills High School chess team,
which recently came in first place at the Fort Worth ISD Spring
Chess Championship; and
WHEREAS, Over the last few months, these young men and women
have spent countless hours in practice, improving with each game
they played; under the leadership of their chess coach, they have
developed the skills which have allowed them to excel as a team; and
WHEREAS, Team members Guilherme Olivera Agustini, Antonio
Lockleair, Isabel Blankenship, Tam Tran, and Isaac Guardado placed
for individual achievement; the entire team demonstrated superior
talent and perseverance, and they deserve to be proud of their
accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED,
That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby commend the members of the Eastern Hills High
School chess team for their exceptional skills and extend
congratulations to them for their admirable achievements at the
Fort Worth Independent School District Spring Chess Championship;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
