H.R. No. 37
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Loved ones will forever cherish their memories of
Charline Johnston of Arlington, who passed away on January 29,
2012, at the age of 80; and
WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Mrs. Johnston was
born in Hillsboro on November 1, 1931; she married Clifford
Johnston, with whom she shared many years and a blessed family that
included three sons, David, Charles, and Michael, two
grandchildren, Daniel and Abby, and a great-grandson, Nathan; and
WHEREAS, Before her retirement, Mrs. Johnston worked with the
Arlington Independent School District, serving with distinction at
Shackelford Junior High School and Lamar High School; she also
enjoyed tenures at churches in Hillsboro, Marfa, and Alvin; and
WHEREAS, Charline Johnston was devoted to her faith and
family, and while she will be deeply missed, she will always be
remembered with great affection; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Charline Johnston and
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
husband, Clifford Johnston; to her sons, David Johnston, Charles
Johnston and his wife, Kathy, and Michael Johnston and his wife,
June; to her grandchildren, Daniel and his wife, Arin, and Abby; to
her great-grandson, Nathan; and to her other relatives and friends;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Charline
Johnston.
