H.R. No. 392
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five
decades, Ruth and Modesto Navarrette of Lubbock celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on January 25, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Modesto Navarrette and the former Ruth Galindo
exchanged the vows of matrimony in Lubbock on that memorable day in
1963, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in each
other a devoted life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Navarrette count among their blessings
a fine family that includes three children and their spouses,
Patricia Ortega and her husband, David, Cindy Tarabori and her
husband, Aaron, and Modesto Navarrette, Jr., and his wife, Dora, as
well as six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, with whom
they treasure sharing the many special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, Ruth and
Modesto Navarrette can savor a wealth of cherished family memories
and know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Ruth and Modesto Navarrette of
Lubbock on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further

ESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Navarrette as an expression of high
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
