H.R. No. 883 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at the tragic loss of Elijah Matthew Anderson of Fort Worth, who passed away on February 12, 2013, at the age of 11; and WHEREAS, The son of Brian and Cathryn Anderson, Eli enjoyed spending time with his close-knit family, which included his two brothers, Brandon and Noah, with whom he engaged in Nerf gun battles and Lego building projects; demonstrating budding skill as a handyman and an inquisitive mind about how things work, he frequently offered to repair items around the house and joined his father in servicing cars; and WHEREAS, Eli was a cherished friend to many at Creekview Middle School and in the preteen ministry at Lighthouse Fellowship; he delighted in setting out on adventures with the other children in his neighborhood, and this spirited young Texan could always be counted on to bring smiles and laughter to all those he encountered along the way; and WHEREAS, Although his time on this earth was far too brief, Eli Anderson inspired countless others with his kindness and his remarkable zest for life, and the joy that he brought to his loved ones is a blessing that will be treasured in their hearts forever; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Elijah Matthew Anderson and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his parents, Brian and Cathryn Anderson; to his brothers, Brandon and Noah Anderson; to his grandparents, Larry and Pamela Anderson and Gary and Carolyn Curry; to his uncles, Matt Anderson, Bret Curry, and Todd Curry; to the family's close friend, Kassaundra Lawrence; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Elijah Matthew Anderson.
