R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The life of four-year-old Emma Catherine Grace
Thompson came to a tragic end on June 27, 2009, and the passage of a
law in her honor serves as a lasting memorial to her; and
WHEREAS, Emma captured the hearts of a host of admirers from
the moment she was born on March 29, 2005; in time, she grew into a
vibrant and delightful little girl whose long red hair offset her
angelic smile; and
WHEREAS, With her sweet and happy nature, Emma brought joy to
people everywhere she went, and although her time on this earth was
far too brief, memories of this precious child will be forever
treasured by the many people whose lives she touched; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Emma Catherine Grace
Thompson; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Emma
Catherine Grace Thompson.
