R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Adam Assaker was named the 2013 Officer of the Year
by the Rockdale Police Department in recognition of his outstanding
service; and
WHEREAS, New to the force in 2011, Officer Assaker has won
this distinction both years he was eligible for it; and
WHEREAS, The award is based on points officers compile over
the course of carrying out their duties, and this esteemed public
servant accumulated 2,700; his contributions to the department in
2012 included issuing 759 citations and 379 warnings, as well as
making 38 warrant, 15 felony, and 42 drug arrests; and
WHEREAS, Officer Assaker has proven himself to be an
exemplary member of his profession, and he may indeed reflect with
pride on the vital part he plays in ensuring the safety and welfare
of the citizens of Rockdale; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Adam Assaker on being named the
2013 Officer of the Year by the Rockdale Police Department and
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success with his
important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Officer Assaker as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
