 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by
 many of this nation's leaders, and the attainment of this
 significant honor by Cody Dalton Stephens of Georgetown also
 heralds a future bright with opportunity and promise; and
 WHEREAS, A sophomore at St. Dominic Savio Catholic High
 School and a member of Zion Lutheran Church, this fine young Texan
 has mastered a number of important skills in his quest to become an
 Eagle Scout; he has earned 31 merit badges requiring expertise in
 such diverse areas as first aid, personal fitness, and
 environmental science, and he has gained experience in leadership
 and teamwork while undertaking his Eagle Scout project, which
 involved the removal of brush and debris from the historic Anderson
 Cemetery; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Stephens is a member of the Order of the Arrow
 and has served his peers as a leader, and in so doing, he has
 exemplified the many positive traits for which Boy Scouts are
 renowned; and
 WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for
 attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Cody Stephens has demonstrated
 an unwavering commitment to the organization and its ideals, and
 the knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the way will
 indeed serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Cody Dalton Stephens on attaining
 the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for
 continued success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Stephens as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
