The bill would amend Section 61 of the Alcoholic Beverage Code relating to alcoholic beverage license applications and fees. It is assumed that implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing state agency resources. The change in law made by this Act applies only to a license application filed on or after the effective date of this Act. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2013. Local Government Impact The bill reduces administrative duties with liquor license applications for county judges, county clerks, and county tax assessors. However, savings due to reduced workload are not anticipated to have a significant fiscal impact.
