 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to identification cards for certain members of the
 judiciary.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1. Subchapter I, Chapter 75, Government Code, is
 amended by adding Section 75.552 to read as follows:
 Sec. 75.552. JUDICIAL IDENTIFICATION CARD. (a) The Office
 of Court Administration of the Texas Judicial System shall issue a
 judicial identification card to each judge or justice of:
 (1)  a district court;
 (2)  a court of appeals;
 (3) the court of criminal appeals; and
 (4)  the supreme court.
 (b) The judicial identification card issued under
 Subsection (a) must contain a photograph of the judge or justice and
 identify the judge or justice as a member of the judiciary of the
 State of Texas.
 (c) An individual, corporation, or association may not deny
 the holder of a judicial identification card access to goods,
 services, or facilities, except as provided by Section 521.460,
 Transportation Code, or in regard to the operation of a motor
 vehicle, because the holder has a judicial identification card
 rather than a driver's license. A judge or justice may use a

 justice's official duties.
