LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION March 22, 2013 TO: Honorable Judith Zaffirini, Chair, Senate Committee on Government Organization FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE:SB1101 by Van de Putte (Relating to the Cybersecurity, Education, and Economic Development Council.), As Introduced No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would continue the Cybersecurity, Education, and Economic Development Council (Council) for two years until September 1, 2015. Under current law, the council will be abolished on September 1, 2013 unless continued by the Legislature. The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in each house. Otherwise the bill would take effect on September 1, 2013. It is anticipated that any costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
