The bill would direct the Department of Information Resources (DIR) to develop strategies and a framework for the securing of cyberinfrastructure by state agencies and cybersecurity risk assessment and mitigation planning. DIR would be required to assist state agencies, upon request, regarding the strategies and framework developed. DIR would be required to provide training to state agencies and promote public awareness on cybersecurity issues. DIR anticipates that any additional costs associated with bill could be absorbed within existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
