The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to the creation of a standard request form for prior authorization of health care services. The bill would establish requirements relating to the use of a standard request form for preauthorization of health care services. Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Insurance, UT System Administration, Texas A&M University System Administration, it is assumed that any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished utilizing existing staff and resources.
