The bill would amend Chapter 36 of the Water Code to provide that a groundwater conservation district is not required to adopt a proposal of desired future conditions before May 1, 2016, regardless of the date on which a proposal may have been voted on before May 1, 2016. According to the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board, no fiscal impact is anticipated. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
