                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 26, 2013      TO: Honorable Robert Duncan, Chair, Senate Committee on State Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1322 by Van de Putte (Relating to the provision of ancillary services through limited services networks; providing penalties.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to the provision of ancillary services through limited services networks and providing for penalties.  Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Insurance, the bill would increase the number of reviews for network adequacy the agency would have to complete; however, it is assumed that any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished within existing staff and resources. The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to the provision of ancillary services through limited services networks and providing for penalties.
