The bill would amend the Homeland Security Chapter of the Government Code to add and replace actions included in a statewide homeland security strategy that is developed by the governor. The bill also amends the reference regarding the state's compliance with federal strategic guidance on homeland security. It is assumed that there will be no significant cost impact to the bill, because changes could be absorbed within existing agency resources.
