A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the provision of fire prevention or fire-fighting
services by certain emergency services districts.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 775.031, Health and Safety Code, is
amended by adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows:
(b-1) A district that was formerly a rural fire prevention
district that is not otherwise prohibited from providing fire
prevention or fire-fighting services may provide those services.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
