The bill would amend Section 2267.354 of the Government Code, as added by Chapter 1129 (H.B. 628), Acts of the 82nd Legislature, Regular Session, 2011, relating to the applicability of certain public works contracting requirements. The bill would specify that after August 31, 2013, applicable governmental entities or municipally owned water utilities may enter into contracts as defined by the provisions of the bill. Local Government Impact Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
