The bill would amend the Local Government Code to authorize a municipal clerk to file documents electronically with a county clerk that accepts electronic filing and recording. A county may authorize a person to file electronic documents for recording with a county clerk if the county enters into a memorandum of understanding with the person. This subsection would apply only to a county with a population of 500,000 or more. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
