                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 15, 2013      TO: Honorable Kel Seliger, Chair, Senate Committee on Higher Education      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1531 by Seliger (Relating to providing information to entering undergraduate students at general academic teaching institutions to promote timely graduation.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would require each general academic teaching institution to provide to each first-time entering undergraduate student, including each undergraduate student who transfers to the institution, certain information related to graduation, including total academic costs and average earnings. Provisions of the bill would be implemented within existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
