The bill would amend the Local Government Code relating to the provision of affordable housing and other services in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. Based on information provided by the Secretary of State and the Public Utility Commission, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government. The bill would amend the Local Government Code relating to the provision of affordable housing and other services in the Lower Rio Grande Valley.
