                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            February 21, 2013      TO: Honorable Robert Duncan, Chair, Senate Committee on State Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB267 by Seliger (Relating to the liability of a municipality for certain space flight activities.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to include the use of a municipalitys airport for certain space flight activities to the list of governmental functions for which a municipality would be liable for damages arising from its governmental functions. According to the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact on the operation of the courts is anticipated. Local Government Impact According to the Texas Municipal League, no fiscal impact to municipalities is anticipated.
