                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 4, 2013      TO: Honorable Jane Nelson, Chair, Senate Committee on Health & Human Services      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB316 by Uresti (Relating to the substitution by a pharmacist of certain opioid analgesic drugs.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the substitution by a pharmacist of certain opioid analgesic drugs.  The bill would require the Board of Pharmacy to adopt rules no later than December 1, 2013. Based on information provided by the Board of Pharmacy, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished utilizing existing resources.
