                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 7, 2013      TO: Honorable John Whitmire, Chair, Senate Committee On Criminal Justice      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB369 by Whitmire (Relating to certain information available to the public on a central database containing information about sex offenders.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to exclude any information related to an employers name, employers address, and employers telephone number from the information published on the public sex offender registry.  It is anticipated that any additional costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the existing resources of the Department of Public Safety. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.  Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
