The bill would amend the Election Code to add primary elections to the list of elections in which a commissioners court may eliminate county election precinct polling places and establish countywide polling places. The Secretary of State indicates the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
