                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 17, 2013      TO: Honorable Robert Duncan, Chair, Senate Committee On State Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB578 by Duncan (Relating to use of countywide polling places for certain elections.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Election Code to add primary elections to the list of elections in which a commissioners court may eliminate county election precinct polling places and establish countywide polling places. The Secretary of State indicates the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.
