The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to authorize the governing body of a municipality to require the owner of real property to keep the property free from a condition that constitutes a public nuisance. If an owner does not comply with a municipal ordinance or requirement within seven days of notice of a violation, a municipality may make the improvements required and charge the expenses to the owner of the property. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
