                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 25, 2013      TO: Honorable David Dewhurst, Lieutenant Governor, Senate  Honorable Joe Straus, Speaker of the House, House of Representatives      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB949 by Nelson (Relating to licensing under the Medical Practice Act.), Conference Committee Report    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the definition of license holder in the Medical Practice Act.  Based on the analysis of the Texas Medical Board, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
