                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 29, 2013      TO: Honorable Jane Nelson, Chair, Senate Committee on Health & Human Services      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB978 by Deuell (Relating to regulation by the Texas Medical Board of local anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks administered in an outpatient setting.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to regulation by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) of local anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks administered in an outpatient setting.  Based on information submitted by the TMB, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
