S.C.R. No. 44
SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Senate Bill No. 8 has been adopted by the house of
representatives and the senate and is being prepared for
enrollment; and
WHEREAS, The bill contains a technical error that should be
corrected; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the 83rd Legislature of the State of Texas, That
the enrolling clerk of the senate be instructed to correct Senate
Bill No. 8 in SECTION 6 of the bill, in added Section 531.1022,
Government Code, by adding Subsection (d) to that section to read as
follows:
(d) A peace officer employed and commissioned under this
section shall obtain prior approval from the office of attorney
general before carrying out any duties requiring peace officer
status.
