SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 235
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the members of Leadership Round Rock who are visiting
the Capitol on February 20, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Leadership Round Rock is sponsored by the Round
Rock Chamber of Commerce and was established with the goal of
developing new civic, business, and community leaders; and
WHEREAS, The chamber has played a major leadership role in
the Round Rock community and has helped make the area one of the
safest and best places to live in the country while making a
positive impact on the growth of business opportunities; and
WHEREAS, Members of Leadership Round Rock follow in the
chamber's footprints by helping to build a more informed
citizenry and learning how to improve the community; its members
learn about the inner workings of state government and how
different levels of government and other factors affect economic
development; and
WHEREAS, Through the education of its members and the
organization's efforts to build a more informed and involved
citizenry, Leadership Round Rock is contributing to the welfare
of the Round Rock community and of the state; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
83rd Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the 2013 Class of
Leadership Round Rock and extend to its members best wishes for
an informative and rewarding visit to the State Capitol; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
Leadership Round Rock as an expression of esteem from the Texas
Senate.
