SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 243 In Memory of Stacey Lynn Stewart WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and commemorates the life of Stacey Lynn Stewart, who died January 25, 2013, at the age of 33; and WHEREAS, Stacey Stewart was born September 25, 1979, in Fort Worth; she was a 2002 graduate of Transition Center Mall, where she took great pleasure in the time she spent with her teachers, classmates, and therapists; and WHEREAS, Stacey was known for her loving nature and her eagerness to greet everyone she met with open arms and a dazzling smile; and WHEREAS, She adored the simple pleasures in life, whether enjoying country music at Gruene Hall, playing bingo with her friends, riding horses, or watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers; and WHEREAS, A young woman of courage, grace, and compassion, she gave unselfishly to others, and the joy and enthusiasm she brought to her endeavors and the lessons she taught about life will continue to live in the hearts and minds of those who knew her; and WHEREAS, Stacey was a loving and devoted daughter and sister, and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by her family and many friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Stacey Lynn Stewart: her parents, Rikki and Jimmy Stewart; and her brother, Jeff Stewart; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Stacey Lynn Stewart.
