SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 623 In Memory of Bernard Clifton Terrell, Jr. WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and commemorates the life of Bernard Clifton Terrell, Jr., who died March 26, 2013, at the age of 81; and WHEREAS, Cliff Terrell was an exemplary citizen who was widely admired for his many achievements and his outstanding contributions to his community; and WHEREAS, Cliff Terrell was born August 25, 1931, in Waco to Bernard Clifton Terrell, Sr., and Cecil Young Terrell; a devout Christian who practiced his faith in his daily life, he was a member of Saint John's United Methodist Church, where he served as the chair of the Administrative Council; and WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he gave unselfishly to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Bernard Clifton Terrell, Jr.; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bernard Clifton Terrell, Jr. Hegar ________________________________ President of the Senate I hereby certify that the above Resolution was adopted by the Senate on April 9, 2013, by a rising vote. ________________________________ Secretary of the Senate ________________________________ Member, Texas Senate
