SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 640
WHEREAS, Nicole Hagerty of the Round Rock Independent
School District has been named the 2013 Region 13 Assistant
Principal of the Year by the Texas Association of Secondary
School Principals; and
WHEREAS, Each year, the association pays tribute to school
administrators throughout Texas who have demonstrated
exceptional performance and leadership; nominations for the
award are submitted by their peers, and candidates are reviewed
by the association's Principal Image Committee; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Hagerty has been an assistant principal at
Canyon Vista Middle School for eight years, and she has worked
for Round Rock ISD for the past 14; before joining Canyon Vista,
she taught math, world cultures, and science at Hopewell and
Cedar Valley Middle Schools; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed administrator earned her bachelor's
degree in interdisciplinary studies from Texas A&M University
and went on to graduate from The University of Texas at Austin
with a master's degree in educational administration; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Hagerty's dedication to her profession has
made a positive difference in the lives of countless young
Texans, and she is indeed deserving of this prestigious honor;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, hereby congratulate Nicole Hagerty on her selection
as the 2013 Region 13 Assistant Principal of the Year by the Texas
Association of Secondary School Principals and extend to her
sincere best wishes for continued success with her important
work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
prepared for Ms. Hagerty as an expression of high regard by the
Texas Senate.
