R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Emma Lopez was awarded Honorable Mention All-Star
Cast recognition at the 2012-2013 University Interscholastic
League One-Act Play 1A state finals; and
WHEREAS, A student at West Texas High School in Stinnett, Ms.
Lopez gave a skilled performance as Mrs. Potter in an adaptation of
A Girl Called Opal; and
WHEREAS, Through her hard work and commitment to excellence,
Emma Lopez has distinguished herself in statewide competition, and
her accomplishments are a source of pride to her family and friends;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Emma Lopez on
earning Honorable Mention All-Star Cast recognition at the
2012-2013 UIL One-Act Play 1A state finals and extend to her sincere
best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Lopez as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
