R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ricardo Carrillo and Carrillo Funeral Homes have
been presented with the Preferred Funeral Directors Award from
Preferred Funeral Directors International (PFDI) and the Selected
Independent Directors Award from Selected Independent Funeral
Homes; and
WHEREAS, For 75 years, PFDI has brought together
representatives of leading privately owned funeral homes to share
best practices; Selected Independent Funeral Homes was founded in
1917 as a worldwide association of locally owned funeral homes; and
WHEREAS, Carrillo Funeral Homes has been offering its
expertise and comfort to grieving families in North Texas for more
than 100 years; the company now boasts three locations, in Dallas,
Fort Worth, and, for the past 15 years, Grand Prairie; and
WHEREAS, Under the leadership of president and CEO Ricardo
Carrillo, the expert staff of Carrillo Funeral Homes set a high
standard of skill, compassion, and personal attention, and they may
indeed reflect with pride on this recognition of their leadership
in the funeral industry; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Ricardo
Carrillo and the staff of Carrillo Funeral Homes on receiving the
Preferred Funeral Directors Award and the Selected Independent
Directors Award and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued success in their important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Carrillo Funeral Homes as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
