H.R. No. 195
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned half a
century, Stu and Judy Childre of Lubbock celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary on June 8, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Stu Childre and the former Judy Holbrook exchanged
the vows of matrimony in San Antonio on that memorable day in 1963,
and over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other
a devoted life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Childre count among their blessings a
fine family that includes three children, Connie Sawyer and her
husband, Clinton, Charles Childre and his wife, Kelli, and Craig
Childre, as well as four grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, Stu and
Judy Childre can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Stu and Judy
Childre on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Childre as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
