H.R. No. 199
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Beth and D'Nard Arthur of Lubbock celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on June 8, 2013, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, D'Nard D. Arthur and the former Beth Payne exchanged
the vows of matrimony in Lubbock in 1963, and over the course of
their marriage, they have found in each other a loving life partner;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur count among their blessings a
fine family that includes their children, D'Nard Arthur II and his
wife, Jen, Deidre Parish and her husband, Bud, and D'lynn Dunn and
her husband, Adam, as well as their seven grandchildren, with whom
they treasure sharing many special occasions; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur have brought
to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Beth and
D'Nard Arthur on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to
them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Arthur as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
