SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 121
WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Carol and
Lawrence Link placed great faith and trust in one another, and
they have been amply rewarded, as they are celebrating their 50th
wedding anniversary; and
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the
years of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Link have continued to
cherish traditional family values; their children, Susan,
Jennifer, and Danny, and their seven grandchildren have been a
source of great pride and joy; and
WHEREAS, Larry has through the years owned and operated
advertising companies in San Angelo, Brownwood, and Granbury;
Carol has served as a nurse and operated two businesses while
caring for their children and maintaining their home; over the
years, they have grown stronger in their love and devotion as
together they have experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday
living; and
WHEREAS, They are gracious hosts, and the gatherings at
Link's Lodge on the Lake have become treasured memories for their
friends from around the world; they are active in their community
and attend Saint Francis Cabrini Catholic Church; and
WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Carol and Lawrence
Link is truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend sincere
congratulations to Carol and Lawrence Link on the joyous occasion
of their 50th wedding anniversary; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
this distinguished couple as an expression of esteem from the
Texas Senate.
