R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Officer Ron White is retiring from the North
Richland Hills Police Department on July 26, 2013, drawing to a
close a notable career in law enforcement that has spanned 29 years;
and
WHEREAS, A graduate of the University of North Texas, Officer
White joined the department in June 1984; throughout his tenure, he
has distinguished himself as a member of the Uniformed Services
Division Patrol Section, serving in a supervisory role from 1987 to
2006; and
WHEREAS, Officer White is licensed as a permanent peace
officer and a master peace officer, and he has compiled more than
2,000 hours of service training; his exemplary performance has been
recognized with 18 commendations, and he is a recipient of the
15-Year Safe Driving Award; and
WHEREAS, Ron White's dedication, professionalism, and
commitment to preserving the safety and well-being of the public
have greatly benefited the citizens of North Richland Hills and
earned him the respect and admiration of his peers, and he may
indeed reflect with pride on his many achievements; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Officer Ron
White on his retirement from the North Richland Hills Police
Department and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Officer White as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
