H.R. No. 139
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dr. Dilip K. Pal of Lubbock is retiring in August
2013, drawing to a close a notable 37-year career in orthopedic
surgery; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Patna Medical College and the
University of Calcutta, Dr. Pal interned at Highland Park General
Hospital and went on to complete his residency at Akron City
Hospital in Ohio; in 1976, this board-certified surgeon settled in
Lubbock, where he has provided an exceptional level of care and
commitment to patients from across his West Texas community; and
WHEREAS, In retirement, Dr. Pal looks forward to spending
more time with his beloved wife and daughter, who have been a
tremendous source of support through the decades; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Dilip Pal has benefited countless people during
his medical career, and he may reflect with pride on his many
accomplishments as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his
life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby honor Dr. Dilip K. Pal on
the occasion of his retirement and extend to him sincere best wishes
for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Dr. Pal as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
