 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Sarah Stapleton has been selected as the 2012-2013
 Marshall Independent School District Teacher of the Year; and
 WHEREAS, A kindergarten teacher at William B. Travis
 Elementary School, Ms. Stapleton has demonstrated an exceptional
 commitment to the daily academic progress of her students, and she
 encourages them to develop inquisitiveness and a love of learning;
 she has shared her knowledge and experience as a mentor for student
 teachers, and she has also served as a team leader and as a member of
 the group responsible for the Campus Improvement Plan; and
 WHEREAS, This gifted educator earned her bachelor's degree in
 interdisciplinary studies from The University of Texas at Arlington
 in 2006; after beginning her career as a first-grade teacher at
 Bryant Elementary School in Arlington, she joined the faculty at
 William B. Travis in 2007; and
 WHEREAS, Children are the Lone Star State's most precious
 resource, and a quality education is vital in order for our young
 people to become successful adults; through her devotion to her
 profession, Sarah Stapleton exemplifies the passion and
 determination that are the hallmarks of our best teachers, and she
 sets a standard of excellence to which others may aspire; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Sarah
 Stapleton on her selection as the Marshall Independent School
 District Teacher of the Year for 2012-2013 and extend to her sincere
 best wishes for continued success in her important work; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Stapleton as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
