H.R. No. 148
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Debbie Eskew is retiring as communications manager
of the City of North Richland Hills on September 30, 2013, drawing
to a close a distinguished 33-year career in municipal government;
and
WHEREAS, Ms. Eskew joined the staff in May 1980 as a
dispatcher; earning the respect of her colleagues and management
for her dedicated work, she was promoted to her current position in
1991; and
WHEREAS, The city has developed a number of important
programs under her able direction, including the Joint Public
Safety Communications Center, which consolidated four area
dispatch facilities into one and improved service for area
residents; and
WHEREAS, Debbie Eskew has truly benefited the North Richland
Hills community, and she may reflect with pride on her many
accomplishments as she prepares to embark on the next exciting
chapter of her life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Debbie Eskew
on her retirement from the City of North Richland Hills and extend
to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Eskew as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
