SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 77 WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and promise, John Christopher Alanis of Troop 32 in Orange Grove advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes before recently attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and WHEREAS, In receiving the coveted Eagle Badge, this fine young man has become one of the select few to achieve this distinguished honor; and WHEREAS, By conducting a service project that allowed him to exercise his leadership abilities, John has completed the requirements for becoming an Eagle Scout and has at the same time benefited his community; for his service project, he built a driveway and sidewalk at Faith Church in Orange Grove; and WHEREAS, This personable young man has brought great honor to himself, his family, and his troop in joining the elite corps of Eagle Scouts; and WHEREAS, John is truly a shining example to his troop and to the young people of Texas; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend John Christopher Alanis on earning the rank of Eagle Scout and congratulate him on his outstanding achievement; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for Eagle Scout Alanis as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
