SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 79 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great pleasure in recognizing Bob Falkner, who is stepping down as chief of the Ozona Volunteer Fire Department after 22 years of exceptional leadership; and WHEREAS, Bob Falkner has handled his responsibilities at the Ozona Volunteer Fire Department with efficiency and dedication since 1971; before accepting the role of department chief, he moved through the ranks as department president, secretary, and assistant chief; and WHEREAS, Mr. Falkner has distinguished himself as a capable and highly professional leader who has long held the respect and friendship of all those who have worked with him; his outstanding career as a firefighter has now spanned 52 years; and WHEREAS, A faithful public servant who is devoted to the Ozona community, he plans on continuing his service as a firefighter after stepping down as chief; his meritorious work has earned him the admiration and esteem of local residents who are grateful for his invaluable contributions to their community; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Bob Falkner for his outstanding service to the Ozona Volunteer Fire Department and extend best wishes to him in the years ahead; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of gratitude and high regard from the Texas Senate.
