                    SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 3
 In Memory
 of
 Martha Lee Frazar Woolf
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
 citizens of Arlington in mourning the loss of Martha Lee Frazar
 Woolf, who died July 14, 2013, at the age of 89; and
 WHEREAS, Martha Frazar was born on March 19, 1924, in
 Strawn, Texas, and was a descendant of pioneer settlers of the
 Palo Pinto County region; she graduated from Strawn High School
 and attended Tarleton State College; and
 WHEREAS, She married Jack Woolf on July 10, 1948, and they
 spent 65 years together, raised three children, and were blessed
 with two grandsons and a great-grandson; and
 WHEREAS, Martha moved to Arlington in 1957 when her husband
 joined the administration of The University of Texas at
 Arlington; she served as a gracious hostess for the university
 and was a member of the Faculty Women's Club; she also was active
 in a number of community clubs and organizations and was a member
 of the Daughters of the American Revolution; and
 WHEREAS, She was an exemplary lady and was devoted to her
 family and many friends; she was a devout Christian and a member
 of Trinity United Methodist Church; and
 WHEREAS, Martha Woolf was a source of joy and strength to
 those who knew her, and she will be greatly missed by all who were
 privileged to share in her life; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
 Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby extend sincere
 condolences to the bereaved family of Martha Lee Frazar Woolf;
 and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 those held dear by Martha Woolf as an expression of deepest
 sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns
 this day, it do so in memory of Martha Woolf.
