                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 4, 2015      TO: Honorable René Oliveira, Chair, House Committee on Business & Industry      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1009 by Davis, Yvonne (Relating to application fees and deposits paid to a landlord of residential rental property.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Property Code related to certain fees and deposits paid to residential landlords.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.The Office of the Attorney General indicated the costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed with existing resources.
