                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 2, 2015      TO: Honorable Rafael Anchia, Chair, House Committee on International Trade & Intergovernmental Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1063 by Lucio III (Relating to state assistance to certain counties for indigent burial costs.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Chapter 694 of the Health and Safety Code to authorize the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to provide financial assistance to eligible counties for indigent burial costs. The bill would limit eligibility to counties with an international border and that are adjacent to the Gulf of Mexico. It is assumed that DSHS could implement the provisions of the bill using current resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
