                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 5, 2015      TO: Honorable Drew Darby, Chair, House Committee on Energy Resources      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1106 by Phillips (relating to the name of the Railroad Commission of Texas.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Natural Resources Code to change the name of the Railroad Commission of Texas to the Texas Energy Commission (TEC). In this analysis it is assumed changing the agency's name would have no significant fiscal implication as the Commission could phase in the change over time using existing resources.
