                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 10, 2015      TO: Honorable Jodie Laubenberg, Chair, House Committee on Elections      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1114 by Gonzales, Larry (Relating to the authority with whom certain political committees must file reports of political contributions and expenditures.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Election Code to require specific-purpose committees created to support or oppose a measure on the issuances of bonds by a school district to file reports with the Ethics Commission. The agency estimates there would be a minimal cost associated with implementing the provisions of the bill. It is assumed that these costs could be absorbed within existing resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
