The bill would amend Chapter 403, Government Code, to provide additional requirements for the Comptroller of Public Accounts when preparing the report required under Section 403.014 regarding the effect of exemptions, discounts, exclusions, special valuations, special accounting treatments, special rates, and special methods of reporting relating to certain taxes. The Comptroller of Public Accounts indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
